Value Stream Mapping- Facilitating

Our Lean expert will facilitate your company team or teams through the Value Stream Mapping activities of part families. Current State Maps will detail the process steps and be used as baselines from which tremendous improvement opportunities may be discovered. This process will allow the participants to identify, which activities are value added and non-value added. This discovery process will expose some of the most hidden non-value activities. Reducing time spent on those activities that do not create value is essential to achieving the goal of becoming a Lean Enterprise. Future State Maps will then be drawn by the team(s), which outlines the proposed revised processes. Noted on these maps will be activities (Kaizen, Quick Change, KanBan, etc.) that must be accomplished to achieve the Future State. Implementation plans outlining the timing, persons responsible and expected measurable results will be reviewed with the lean steering group and/or top management.

Best bottom line results are achieved when you complete Value Streams Maps for all product families in the facility and a number of Kaizen events are chosen for each Current State Map to achieve Future State Value Stream Map for a product family.
